The following is a list of Frequently Asked Endnote Questions.  Supporting video demonstrations are available for some questions. 

 

 

Question:  I am prompted to enter and ID/PW when I  access PsycINFO using the Online Search feature within Endnote.  What is the ID/PW needed to access PsycINFO within Endnote.

 

 Answer:

  • The PsycINFO online search feature in Endnote can only be used on campus.  For on campus users, leave the ID and password fields blank and click OK.  See a video demonstration
  • ***Off campus users:  Access PsycINFO using the link from the Stony Brook Libraries' homepage and export citations from PsycINFO into Endnote.  Click here for importing instructions. 

 

Question:  When I export citations from PubMed into Endnote, all of the reference fields are blank.

   Answer:

  • Citations exported from Endnote need to be saved in the MEDLINE format.  Please see the instructions on how to import citations from PubMed into Endnote. Click here for importing instructions
